Youth Football USA Athlete Code of Conduct

Youth Football USA suggests that the following code be shared with student athlete prior to the start of each season. Youth Football USA believes in the three -S's Safety, Sportsmanship, and Scholarship, and will expect student athletes to exhibit them both on and off the field. As a Youth Football USA student athlete, I agree to conduct myself with dignity as an athlete and as a citizen of the community.

- I must be accountable for my behavior and its outcome.

- I will play by the rules and resolve conflicts without cheating or fighting.

- I will treat other players, coaches, and officials with respect.

- I will not yell at or tease a teammate for making a mistake or losing a competition.

- I will not use profane (swearing) language or gestures.

- I agree to put forth my best effort and regardless of the outcome I know that I gave 100%

- I will agree to maintain my studies and respect my teachers and counselors.

- I will listen to my parents and thank them for giving me the opportunity to participate in organized sports.

Youth Football USA Coaches Code of Conduct
As a certified member of Youth Football USA, I hereby pledge to abide by the Coaches Code of Conduct.

I will support coaches, board members, and others working with the team, and strive to make this a positive experience for everyone.

I will educate myself on the rules of the game and I will teach these rules to my players.

I will encourage putting forth your best effort and realize that mistakes are part of the learning process.

I will ask my team to treat the opposing players, coaches, football officials, and all others with respect regardless of race, sex ,creed or ability.

I will support and respect contest officials and refrain from public criticism or embarrassment.

I will make sure that our facility is safe, and our equipment meets the industry safety standards.

I will obtain proper training through Youth Football USA certified courses and agree to upgrade my certification every two years.

I will remember that winning isn't everything; having fun, improving my abilities, and making new friends are also important.



Youth Football USA Parent Code of Conduct


I hereby pledge to be a positive role model for my child. I will encourage sportsmanship, responsibility, and good citizenship both on and off the field. As a parent, I agree to follow the Youth Football USA Parent Code of Conduct and remember that the game is for our children, not the adults.

- I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials.

- I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect.

- I will teach my child to play by the rules and to resolve conflict without violence.

- I will never scorn or yell at my child or other children for making a mistake or losing a game.

- I will demand that my child's practices and games be held in a safe and healthy environment.

- I will praise my child for giving his/her best effort regardless of the game's outcome.

- I will respect the coaches' time and ability, and will not interfere with practices or games.

- I will not force my child to participate in sports. Rather, I will give him/her the opportunity to explore other opportunities and a chance to be a kid.

I agree to abide by the aforementioned Youth Football USA Parent Code of Conduct.
